The LORD is near to all who call upon Him, to all who call upon Him in truth. He will fulfill the desire of those who fear Him; He also will hear their cry and save them. The LORD preserves all who love Him, but all the wicked He will destroy.
Where can I go from Your Spirit? Or where can I flee from Your presence?
If I ascend into heaven, You are there; if I make my bed in hell, behold, You are there.
If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea,
Even there Your hand shall lead me, and Your right hand shall hold me.
If I say, "Surely the darkness shall fall on me," even the night shall be light about me;
Indeed, the darkness shall not hide from You, but the night shines as the day.
A good man deals graciously and lends; he will guide his affairs with discretion.
Surely he will never be shaken; the righteous will be in everlasting remembrance.
He will not be afraid of evil tidings; his heart is steadfast, trusting in the LORD.
His heart is established; he will not be afraid, until he sees his desire upon his enemies.
He has dispersed abroad, he has given to the poor; his righteousness endures forever; his horn will be exalted with honor.
If you extend your soul to the hungry and satisfy the afflicted soul, then your light shall dawn in the darkness, and your darkness shall be as the noonday.
The LORD will guide you continually, and satisfy your soul in drought, and strengthen your bones; you shall be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail.
You are my hiding place; you shall preserve me from trouble; you shall surround me with songs of deliverance. Selah
I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will guide you with My eye.
Do not be like the horse or like the mule, which have no understanding, which must be harnessed with bit and bridle, else they will not come near you.
Many sorrows shall be to the wicked; but he who trusts in the LORD, mercy shall surround him.
BE AN EXAMPLE TO THE BELIEVERS in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity.
LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, WITH ALL YOUR SOUL, AND WITH ALL YOUR MIND.
"He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?"
Whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world-- our faith.
Without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.
But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name:
who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
It is written, "Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God."
The mouth of the righteous speaks wisdom, and his tongue talks of justice. The law of his God is in his heart; none of his steps shall slide.
"NO WEAPON FORMED AGAINST YOU SHALL PROSPER, AND EVERY TONGUE WHICH RISES AGAINST YOU IN JUDGMENT YOU SHALL CONDEMN. THIS IS THE HERITAGE OF THE SERVANTS OF THE LORD, AND THEIR RIGHTEOUSNESS IS FROM ME," SAYS THE LORD.
Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others.
Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus,
who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God,
but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men.
And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross.
Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name,
that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth,
and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
RESIST THE DEVIL AND HE WILL FLEE FROM YOU.
WATCH AND PRAY ALWAYS THAT YOU MAY BE COUNTED WORTHY TO ESCAPE ALL THESE THINGS THAT WILL COME TO PASS, AND TO STAND BEFORE THE SON OF MAN.
ALL THINGS WORK TOGETHER FOR GOOD TO THOSE WHO LOVE GOD, TO THOSE WHO ARE CALLED ACCORDING TO HIS PURPOSE.
IF WE CONFESS OUR SINS, HE IS FAITHFUL AND JUST TO FORGIVE US OUR SINS AND TO CLEANSE US FROM ALL UNRIGHTEOUSNESS.
IF YOU DO NOT FORGIVE MEN THEIR SINS, YOUR FATHER WILL NOT FORGIVE YOUR SINS.
He who walks righteously and speaks uprightly, he who despises the gain of oppressions, who gestures with his hands, refusing bribes, who stops his ears from hearing of bloodshed, and shuts his eyes from seeing evil: he will dwell on high; his place of defense will be the fortress of rocks; bread will be given him, his water will be sure.
The LORD God is a sun and shield. The LORD will give grace and glory. No good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly.
LET ALL YOUR CONVERSATIONS BE GRACIOUS, SUCH AS MAY TEND TO EXEMPLIFY AND RECOMMEND CHRISTIANITY.
The angel of the LORD encamps all around those who fear Him, and delivers them. Oh, taste and see that the LORD is good. Blessed is the man who trusts in Him! Oh, fear the LORD, you His saints! There is no want to those who fear Him. The young lions lack and suffer hunger; but those who seek the LORD shall not lack any good thing.
He who has pity on the poor lends to the LORD, and He will pay back what he has given.
Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh. Is there anything too hard for Me?
For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, “Be removed and be cast into the sea,” and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will come to pass, he will have whatever he says.
What man is there among you who, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent? If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!
Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the path of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful; But his delight is in the law of the LORD, and in His law he meditates day and night. He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water that brings forth its fruit in its season, whose leaf also shall not wither; and whatever he does shall prosper.
BLESSED IS HE WHO CONSIDERS THE POOR. THE LORD WILL DELIVER HIM IN TIME OF TROUBLE. THE LORD WILL PRESERVE HIM AND KEEP HIM ALIVE, AND HE WILL BE BLESSED ON THE EARTH. YOU WILL NOT DELIVER HIM TO THE WILL OF HIS ENEMIES.
Do not boast about tomorrow.
TREAT OTHERS AS YOU WOULD LIKE TO BE TREATED.
"Whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things."
Do not remember the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing, now it shall spring forth; shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.
HE WILL YET FILL YOUR MOUTH WITH LAUGHING, AND YOUR LIPS WITH REJOICING.
I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, the crawling locust, the consuming locust, and the chewing locust, my great army which I sent among you. You shall eat in plenty and be satisfied, and praise the name of the LORD your God, who has dealt wondrously with you; and My people shall never be put to shame. Then you shall know that I am in the midst of Israel: I am the LORD your God and there is no other. My people shall never be put to shame.
And He said to them, "Which of you shall have a friend, and go to him at midnight and say to him, 'Friend, lend me three loaves; for a friend of mine has come to me on his journey, and I have nothing to set before him'; and he will answer from within and say, 'Do not trouble me; the door is now shut, and my children are with me in bed; I cannot rise and give to you'? I say to you, though he will not rise and give to him because he is his friend, yet because of his persistence he will rise and give him as many as he needs. So I say to you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.
"I AM THE WAY, THE TRUTH, AND THE LIFE. NO ONE COMES TO THE FATHER EXCEPT THROUGH ME.”
HE SHALL DELIVER YOU IN SIX TROUBLES, YES, IN SEVEN NO EVIL SHALL TOUCH YOU.
THE THIEF DOES NOT COME EXCEPT TO STEAL, AND TO KILL, AND TO DESTROY. I HAVE COME THAT THEY MAY HAVE LIFE, AND THAT THEY MAY HAVE IT MORE ABUNDANTLY.
For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.
And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
God is not a man, that He should lie, nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?
1 My son, do not forget my law, but let your heart keep my commands;
2 For length of days and long life and peace they will add to you.
3 Let not mercy and truth forsake you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart,
4 And so find favor and high esteem in the sight of God and man.
5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding;
6 In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.
7 Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the LORD and depart from evil.
8 It will be health to your flesh, and strength to your bones.
9 Honor the LORD with your possessions, and with the firstfruits of all your increase;
10 So your barns will be filled with plenty, and your vats will overflow with new wine.
11 My son, do not despise the chastening of the LORD, nor detest His correction;
12 For whom the LORD loves He corrects, just as a father the son in whom he delights.
13 Happy is the man who finds wisdom, and the man who gains understanding;
14 For her proceeds are better than the profits of silver, and her gain than fine gold.
15 She is more precious than rubies, and all the things you may desire cannot compare with her.
16 Length of days is in her right hand, in her left hand riches and honor.
17 Her ways are ways of pleasantness, and all her paths are peace.
18 She is a tree of life to those who take hold of her, and happy are all who retain her.
19 The LORD by wisdom founded the earth; by understanding He established the heavens;
20 By His knowledge the depths were broken up, and clouds drop down the dew.
21 My son, let them not depart from your eyes-- keep sound wisdom and discretion;
22 So they will be life to your soul and grace to your neck.
23 Then you will walk safely in your way, and your foot will not stumble.
24 When you lie down, you will not be afraid; yes, you will lie down and your sleep will be sweet.
25 Do not be afraid of sudden terror, nor of trouble from the wicked when it comes;
26 For the LORD will be your confidence, and will keep your foot from being caught.
27 Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due, when it is in the power of your hand to do so.
28 Do not say to your neighbor, "Go, and come back, and tomorrow I will give it," when you have it with you.
29 Do not devise evil against your neighbor, for he dwells by you for safety's sake.
30 Do not strive with a man without cause, if he has done you no harm.
31 Do not envy the oppressor, and choose none of his ways;
32 For the perverse person is an abomination to the LORD, but His secret counsel is with the upright.
33 The curse of the LORD is on the house of the wicked, but He blesses the home of the just.
34 Surely He scorns the scornful, but gives grace to the humble.
35 The wise shall inherit glory, but shame shall be the legacy of fools.
1 Whoever loves instruction loves knowledge, but he who hates correction is stupid.
2 A good man obtains favor from the LORD, but a man of wicked intentions He will condemn.
3 A man is not established by wickedness, but the root of the righteous cannot be moved.
4 An excellent wife is the crown of her husband, but she who causes shame is like rottenness in his bones.
5 The thoughts of the righteous are right, but the counsels of the wicked are deceitful.
6 The words of the wicked are, "Lie in wait for blood," but the mouth of the upright will deliver them.
7 The wicked are overthrown and are no more, but the house of the righteous will stand.
8 A man will be commended according to his wisdom, but he who is of a perverse heart will be despised.
9 Better is the one who is slighted but has a servant, than he who honors himself but lacks bread.
10 A righteous man regards the life of his animal, but the tender mercies of the wicked are cruel.
11 He who tills his land will be satisfied with bread, but he who follows frivolity is devoid of understanding.
12 The wicked covet the catch of evil men, but the root of the righteous yields fruit.
13 The wicked is ensnared by the transgression of his lips, but the righteous will come through trouble.
14 A man will be satisifed with good by the fruit of his mouth, and the recompense of a man's hands will be rendered to him.
15 The way of a fool is right in his own eyes, but he who heeds counsel is wise.
16 A fool's wrath is known at once, but a prudent man covers shame.
17 He who speaks truth declares righteousness, but a false witness, deceit.
18 There is one who speaks like the piercings of a sword, but the tongue of the wise promotes health.
19 The truthful lip shall be established forever, but a lying tongue is but for a moment.
20 Deceit is in the heart of those who devise evil, but counselors of peace have joy.
21 No grave trouble will overtake the righteous, but the wicked shall be filled with evil.
22 Lying lips are an abomination to the LORD, but those who deal truthfully are His delight.
23 A prudent man conceals knowledge, but the heart of fools proclaims foolishness.
24 The hand of the diligent will rule, but the lazy man will be put to forced labor.
25 Anxiety in the heart of man causes depression, but a good word makes it glad.
26 The righteous should choose his friends carefully, for the way of the wicked leads them astray.
27 The lazy man does not roast what he took in hunting, but diligence is man's precious possession.
28 In the way of righteousness is life, and in its pathway there is no death.
My help comes from the LORD who made heaven and earth. He will not allow your foot to be moved. The LORD is your protector. The LORD is your shade at your right hand. The sun shall not strike you by day, nor the moon by night. The LORD shall preserve you from all evil. He shall preserve your soul. The LORD shall preserve your going out and your coming in from this time forth, and even forevermore.
Call upon Me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you shall glorify Me.
"Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.
"Many will say to Me in that day, 'Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?'
"And then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!'"
Delight yourself in the LORD, and He shall give you the desires of your heart.
If you ask Anything in My Name, I will do it.
Ask and it will be given to you.
Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full.
The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD, and He delights in his way.
I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
As the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven, and do not return there, but water the earth, and make it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower and bread to the eater, so shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; it shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.
"I will bless those who bless you, and I will curse him who curses you."
THE TEN COMMANDMENTS
1. DO NOT WORSHIP ANY OTHER GOD BUT THE LORD.
2. DO NOT MAKE AN IMAGE TO WORSHIP.
3. DO NOT TAKE GOD’S NAME IN VAIN.
4. KEEP THE SABBATH DAY HOLY.
5. HONOR YOUR FATHER AND MOTHER.
6. DO NOT MURDER.
7. DO NOT COMMIT ADULTERY.
8. DO NOT STEAL.
9. DO NOT LIE.
10. DO NOT COVET ANOTHER’S POSSESSIONS.
This Book of the Law shall not depart
from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it
day and night, that you may observe to do
according to all that is written in it.
For then you will make your way prosperous,
and then you will have good success.
These six things the LORD hates, yes, seven are an abomination to Him:
1. A Proud Look,
2. A Lying Tongue,
3. Hands that Shed Innocent Blood,
4. A Heart that Devises Wicked Plans,
5. Feet that are Swift in Running to Evil,
6. A False Witness Who Speaks Lies, and
7. One Who Sows Discord Among Brethren.
THERE IS ONE WHO SCATTERS, YET INCREASES MORE;
AND THERE IS ONE WHO WITHHOLDS MORE THAN IS RIGHT,
BUT IT LEADS TO POVERTY. THE GENEROUS SOUL WILL
BE MADE RICH, AND HE WHO WATERS WILL ALSO
BE WATERED HIMSELF.
If your Enemy is hungry, give him bread to eat; and if he is thirsty, give him water to drink.
For so you will heap coals of fire on his head,
and The LORD will Reward You.
Cast your burden on the LORD, and He shall sustain you;
He shall never permit the righteous to be moved.
"The LORD bless you and keep you;
the LORD make His face shine upon you, and be gracious to you;
the LORD lift up His countenance upon you, and give you peace."
"Behold, the days are coming," says the Lord,
"when the plowman shall overtake the reaper,
and the treader of grapes him who sows seed;
the mountains shall drip with sweet wine,
and all the hills shall flow with it."
Whoever shuts his ears to the cry of the poor
will also cry himself and not be heard.
"Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me.
"I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.
"If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned.
"If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.
He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say of the LORD, "He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in Him I will trust."
Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the perilous pestilence.
He shall cover you with His feathers, and under His wings you shall take refuge; his truth shall be your shield and buckler.
You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, nor of the arrow that flies by day,
Nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness, nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday.
A thousand may fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand; but it shall not come near you.
Only with your eyes shall you look, and see the reward of the wicked.
Because you have made the LORD, who is my refuge, even the Most High, your dwelling place,
No evil shall befall you, nor shall any plague come near your dwelling;
For He shall give His angels charge over you, to keep you in all your ways.
In their hands they shall bear you up, lest you dash your foot against a stone.
You shall tread upon the lion and the cobra, the young lion and the serpent you shall trample underfoot.
"Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him; I will set him on high, because he has known My name.
He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him.
With long life I will satisfy him, and show him My salvation."
Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil:
For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
